Monday Greetings Challenge - Animal Antics - Feature an animal on your card/project GCC102416

Hello Crafty Peeps,

I am not sure what have happened here, but I have put in the pictures with no text.

I hope you all are having a wonderful Monday and new start of the week. It's a bit low for me on this day, I am not sure why, maybe lack of sleep or perhaps it's still has to do with my thyroid problem. Anyhow, this weeks Monday Greeting Challenge is to feature an animal on your card/project this week.

This weeks we have two talented sponsors. We have Crafty Sentiment and Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.
I just fell in love with this adorable little bear when I saw it, and I do have a special thing for butterflies.
Since Christmas is coming up soon I figured I would do a card and when I was done I realized that even the sentiment had a animal on it, so I got double up on the first card.

Anyways, until next time ................................ Craft on.

Monday Greetings Challenge - Use more than 2 layers - GCC101716

Hello my Crafty Peeps,

Wow, I can't believe it is already Monday again. I have gotten more energy after I have visit another Dr and getting a second opinion. Thank God for doing that. Instead off increasing on depressive medicine he ordered me to increase my medicine for my Thyroid. Just the day after I had more energy and more and more has come for each day. Having problems with your thyroid is not an easy thing, but I am glad I went and got a second opinion.

Anyways, lets go on with this weeks challenge. For this week the theme is Use more than 2 layers, here you can really get creative and find your mojo in doing cards that you have been wanting to do. Is it to start with more Christmas card, or Birthday cards?? What ever it is it's a great opportunity to do that this week and enter Monday Greetings at the same time.

This weeks sponsors are: Angies Cards and Digis and also Creative Bug and each of them are having fabulous prices to the winner.
For the Angies Cards and Digis I choose to use: Daisy May Pumpkin Carving and the background paper I used on this card is actually one of my DTs own work. If you want to download her digital paper as a Freebie visit Pat Matins blog and show her some love when you get this lovely paper.
For the Creative Bug I choose to use: Mrs. Sunshine. The latter I chose to use Faber Castell Polychromos pencils for.

I have been wanting to try out real pencil markers as an addition to my Promarker pens. I finally got a really good deal off of Ebay and so I ordered them and have had them in the box for weeks now. I have been scared to even try them on. I wanted to try how they felt to color with since I know a lot of people using them and their work is magnificent. So, I decided that I would try one of the image for this weeks challenge, and I got pretty satisfied on how it turned out when it was done.

I would love to hear what you think of my first time ever coloring with Faber Castell's Polychromos, so please show me some love and let me know your thoughts.

Anyways, I will leave you with this weeks cards that I have done.... and as always........ Craft on!!

 Promarkers I have used:
(Will update this when I have the note)

Unfortunately I did not write down the colors I used.

Monday Greetings Challenge GCC101016 Anything Christmas

Hello Crafty Peeps,

This weeks challenge is all about Christmas. I can't believe this year has gone by so fast and Christmas is soon around the corner. Come and join in on Monday Greetings Challenges.
Maybe you will be our next winner for this challenge?

I am not even ready for fall season, but I guess it will be here anyways if I am ready or not. I am a summer girl who loves sunny days and warm weather. Some days I do miss living in Florida and The Sunshine State.

I am still struggling with my lack of energy, and I am going to another Dr next week for a second opinion. They think I am depressed but I think I have problem with my thyroid and need to change my meds for that. I hope this Dr will help me figure out why I am so tired all the time. It feels as I can sleep all day and night around. I am no fun for my kids since I don't have any energy to do things.

This weeks sponsor is the talented Rick St.Dennis with the image called Cocoa and Cookie Santa.
It was a fun image to color and I think I will use this one for my of my Christmas cards, I have yet not started but I guess since this will be the first one I will continue.

Anyways, until next time ..................... craft on!!!

 Upcoming Challenges:
October 17 - More than 2 layers

Hello Crafty Peeps,

Hope you are all doing very well. I am doing ok, but I wish I had more energy. Lately I have been really tired and went to see a doctor and took some blood work, that came back normal. This week over at the Outlawz it's the Anything Goes since it's the last week of the month. Our sponsor for this week is QKR Stampede and I choose the "One Year Older" image. I thought it was a fun image and so right to give as a birthday card.

I will keep this entry short and let you enjoy my card instead. Hope to see your creations for this weeks challenge at the Monday Greetings Challenge - Anything Goes.

Monday Greetings Challenge - Brighten Someone's Day GCC091216

Hello Crafty Peeps,

Another week another challenge is on the way. This weeks theme is Brighten Someone's Day (Get Well) card.

This weeks sponsor is the talented SheepSki Design and I used Flutterby Image 18
and I have also used Freesia Vase Image 39.

I have used both Promarkers and some color pencils and even a little bit of a regular pencil to get some details and texture to it. The colors pencils are the kids so nothing fancy like Faber Castells or other good brands :)

My biggest trouble I have every time I do cards is the background papers. I never know what to do and I always think that I don't have good background papers. I guess I have to look into buying some other backgrounds paper than just colored one. Patterned papers are hard to find since I am picky as well but I guess I will just go with the flow.

Anyways, I will leave you with this weeks cards for you to enjoy and please comment what you think of it, both good and bad :)

Until next time ............................................. Craft on!!!

I have used following Promarkers only:
Tea Green
Grey Green
Denim Blue
Cool Grey 4
Cool Grey 3
Cool Grey 2
Background Sky: Copic sketch B00 Frost Blue, Promarker Canary

 I have used following Promarkers:
Buttercup, Mustard, Canary
Baby Pink, Cocktail Pink, Dusky Rose
Apple, Leaf Green, Forest Green
Ice Grey 1, Ice Grey 2
Almond
Cinnamon, Cocoa

UPCOMING CHALLENGES:
SEPT. 19 - Use a cirle, square, rectangle and a star on your card/project (hosting this challenge)
SEPT. 26 - ANYTHING GOES
OCT 3 - Orange or Black (or both)
OCT 10 - Anything Christmas
OCT 17 - More than 2 layers

Monday Greetings Challenge Fall Colours GCC090516

Hello Crafty Peeps,

Puh, last week is finally over and I have gotten my home back and can sleep in my own bed. Last week we had a TV-production crew take over my house. The children channel has a show called "Fixing the Room" where the kids can get their rooms redecorated in their own way. My boys was chosen out of 3000 applicants. Since my boys share room it was also a bit challenge for the crew, since my oldest wanted something with music since he plays the french horn while my youngest one breaths/play soccer. So they had 2 rooms to finish in one so to speak and they did a fantastic job. It was worth it to have to live at my mom's house for the past week while they where working on the room. Daniel was with the crew from morning until afternoon, helping out with the room. It was all a secret for me so I wasn't able to see the room, hear about the room at all. My youngest son was also with them for a few days helping out on his side of the room. Since this show won't air until Feb/Mar of next year 2017 I will not be able to show you how the whole room looks like, but I have a few pictures that I can show.

Anyways, this weeks challenge theme is Fall Colors, I can NOT believe that we are in the month of September already. Where did the time go and what happened to the summer? Guess it's because I worked all summer it feels strange. Not a big fan of the colder weather but have to admit that I am enjoying the Fall Colors, when I lived in Florida there where no Fall Colors it was green or more green. I like it when the trees starts to change colors and you will see an ocean of green, yellow, red, purple, orange - you name it. There are so many different colors in the Fall.

This weeks sponsors are: Bugaboo Stamps and also Di's Digistamp
The images I chose from the sponsors are: Di's Digistamp Scruffy Kitty and for Bugaboo Stamps I chose Girlz Autumn Blessings

So with further due and until next week ............................... Craft on.

 Scruffy Kitty

 Gilz Autumn Blessing

Here is a sneak peak of how the room turned out. More pictures will be posted when the show has been aired here in Sweden.

Hello Cupcakes - Lili of the Valley

Hello Crafties,

A couple of weeks ago I got this freebie image Hello Cupcakes from Lili of the Valley on the Kit and Clowders Facebook page, and when I saw that Twisted Thursday at The Outlawz had a challenge with the twisted add of cupcakes I thought I would color this new cute freebie.

I really enjoyed coloring this image and the mojo just came to me while I was coloring her and just went with the flow. I really love how the whole card turned out. I think the colors match each other just perfectly.

Anyways, I will leave you with my take on the image and card for you to enjoy and maybe inspire someone out there.

Until next time ..................................... craft on!!!

Monday Greetings Challenge - Use colors Purple and Green - GCC082216

Hello Crafties,

Puh, another week is starting and this week will be busy. I have to organize and clean my whole house due to a tv-show is coming to our house and are re-doing my son's room. They are doing a whole new room for them and the boys have decided what they want and I have no clue what they are going to do in their room or what colors etc.

Anyhow, this weeks challenge was a though one. I started out coloring the image I had gotten, and suddenly something felt terribly wrong so I went to check on the theme for the week and there it was: "Use colors Purple and Green". So I had to start all over again, but luckily I only had colored the face, hair and flower so it wasn't so bad. The only challenge was to stick with the colors Purple and Green. I think and feel like I have done a good job, sometimes when you have an image and there is something on the image or behind it that you have no idea if it belongs to the image or if it's something completely different and doesn't belong to the image. Anyways, it is always tricky when you don't know what the artist itself means, but sometimes that could be a challenge on it's own to figure it out and make it your special detail.

Anyways, I will leave you with this weeks sponsor Crafty Sentiment and the image Scilla - Fairy that I have done for this weeks challenge. I hope you would come and join in on our weeks challenge. If you feel like you would like to be a Guest Designer, please don't hesitate to contact me or send me a comment saying that you are interesting.

Until next time ...................................... Craft on!!!

Monday Greetings Challenge - Tic Tac Toe GCC080816

Howdy Crafty Pardner,

It's time for another challenge here at the Monday Greetings and I, Liw, with the weird name is hosting it this week. Hope you all are enjoying some summer and that the weather is treating you a lot better than it is here in Sweden. I always get amazed on the people who present the weather, they are the only one that can be totally wrong giving the weather update and still keep their job. Go figure!! :)

It has been sunny, warm and nice days here but mostly it has been a bit odd weather. One day cloudy, the next sunny, following by rain or even thunder. Oh, I forgot hail, yup, we got hail a couple of weeks ago. Anyways, I am working all summer at a summer hotel so I am not so sad about the weather so to me it hasn't bothered me much in the way that I haven't been able to go to the beach etc.
This weeks challenge is Tic Tac Toe and you can choose either row to follow. My amazing DTs friends has done an amazing challenge yet again. I am so grateful to be surrounded by so talented ladies that amazes me each and every week with their craft. I hope I will see a lot of entries this week to see what you can come up with using the different rows to choose from.

So with further due I will leave you with the instructions on how to enter and who our sponsors are for this week. Good luck and hope to see some amazing cards this week.

Monday Greetings Challenge - Summer Recreation - GCC071816

Hello crafty peeps,

Here is yet another past post that hasn't been able to been posted in time, but I guess better late than never, right??

This week we had Lacy Sunshine as our weekly sponsor and the theme was Summer Recreation. I found this image  Susie Boo Beach Girl very much in deed in the spot for the theme. When I recall my own summer recreations when I was young I was always at the beach playing and bathing. I was like a fish in the water that didn't want to get up, even if my lips where blue and I was cold.

Anyways, I will leave you with my take on this image and theme and hope you enjoyed and got some inspiration for your future card when it comes to summer recreation.

Until next time ..................... craft on.

Add 3 of something

Hello again,

This time it's an entry for MorgansArt that I have done. The challenge is to add 3 of something and why not use the image 3 times. I also loved the background paper since it is ballerinas on it as the image is called. Ballerina image is found here.

I almost forgot about this challenge and luckily I had a day off so I could finish it off. When you work so many odd hours and some days even double shifts it tears on your memory and you need to rest and take it easy.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the card and inspire you to do something awesome.

Until next time ....................... craft on.

Examen - Graduation

Hello again my crafty peeps,

Wow, it feels like I have been a busy little bee the last week with all the cards and everything that has gone on this past week. This past Saturday I celebrated my nephew on his Graduation - not any graduation either. He is now officially a doctor and is off to do is AT this summer and then when that comes to an end he has to choose what field he wants to continue in, if he wants to specialize in something specific such as medicin, children etc.

I am such a proud auntie and I don't know where he gets his drive from, he is always doing everything All-In.
He has not flunked a single exam in these 5,5 years he has studied to become a doctor.

Anyways, I had to make a card for him, and since my son's are half Americans and I have lived in the States for 10 years I thought it would be great to make a graduation card inspired from the States. Here in Sweden we do not use cap and gown when graduating from University. We do have a special hat/cap when graduating from your so-called HighSchool.

Below you will see the card that I made for my nephew Dr. Jonathan Björnsson. I wanted to incorporate our Swedish colors so therefore there are a lot of yellow and blue as our flag. Since he is taken his Master's I had to choose the black for the cap and gown, and he had a blue suit so therefore the blue pants :)

Anyways, until next time .....................................................craft on!!!

Orlando Victims

Hello my crafty peeps,

We all have read about the horrendous happening in Orlando. I don't think anyone has not heard about it, even me here in Sweden has read and seen it on the news. I feel so sorry for all the victims family that has this big grief to cope with now, and all the injured people who is trying to heal and get over this tragic event.

I have lived in Florida myself for 8 years and has visited Orlando several times, I lived in Fort Lauderdale and I went to Orlando to visit the theme parks and visit some friends. It feels close to my heart to even though I have not lived in Florida since 2008.

The very talented artist Betty Roberts did a image in honoring of the victims and the injured of the Orlando shooting. Below you will see my take on the image. I even went a step further and used the same colors I have colored the rainbow, with my promarker, on paper to make the background papers. She was a freebie but I guess you will find her in the store: SimplyBStamps

The sentiment is actually from another tribute she did for the Paris shooting and I thought it was just as appropriate to use it here on this card as well.

Anyways, until next time ........................... be careful and take everyday as it is the last and craft on!!

Monday Greetings Challenge - Summer Beach Party

Hello again my crafty peeps,

Wow, it's Monday already and that means of course we have another challenge starting today at The Outlawz and Monday Greetings.

This week we are privilege to have 2 sponsors again. It is so much fun when we have more than one sponsor to make cards for, but the only problem I see is that I don't know what to do with all my cards. Hm, I have to figure out what to do. I do try to sell them as well, but I am making more than I sell.

Anyhow, this weeks sponsors are the following:

In the Eureka Stamps I chose to use: digi20106 Beach Girl
I really enjoyed coloring her up and liked the way I choose to layout the rest. I chose to use stamps in the corners from DIGISTAMPS4JOY

This card my son's music teacher got last Friday since it was the last time before summer vacations. I thought the card was on the spot with that sentiment as well since school is out now and it is summer vacation.

For our sponsor over at Creative Bug I choose to color the image Time Well Spent.
I thought this image was good with the theme, since it's summer and I have such lovely memories when I was a child. I can remember to go out fishing on my grandpa's boat and make a fire to cook the fish we caught and eat it for dinner the same day.

Colors I have used using Promarker:
Face: Coral, Sunkissed Pink, Blush
Hair: Cocoa, Cinnamon
Bathing Suite: Rose Pink, Baby Pink
Floaty: Canary, Buttercup, Pink, Forest Green, Bright Green.

Upcoming challenges are:
June 20 - New Technique and tell what it is
June 27 - Anything Goes
July 4 - SOMETHING ABOUT MUSIC
July 11 - Summer recreation
July 18 - Friendship
July 25 - Anything Goes

Studenten - Graduation

Hello my crafty peeps,

Yesterday (June 10th) was a BIG day for many students. It was Graduation day from High School and it is soooo much fun. I had a sick little boy at home with me yesterday and he so wanted to see the graduates. Here in Sweden the graduates get together with their classmates and goes around the inner city in the back of a dumpster truck, a convertible car or a wagon behind a tractor. They sing and have fun and they go around the downtown about 2- 3 rounds before they go home to celebrate with their friends and family.

We got invited to a friends daughter who actually was one of these graduates, and of course I had to make a quick card for her today. We don't have the cap and gown here in Sweden but didn't find another image that I thought was good. This was the first time I actually made a darker skin color and since I was in a rush I felt that nothing could go wrong. I will leave you with my take on artbymirans digi Graduationgirl

Anyways, until next time ....... craft on!!!

Simply B Stamp - May Progressive Challenge

Hello again,

So Betty Roberts owner of Simply Betty Stamps have had a challenge that ended the other day, to be exact on June 7th. With summer almost here and schools ending, graduation and a sick little boy it has been hectic I will tell you.

Anyhow, her challenge was to take Bookworm Rio from the Emos collection digi and make a full project and we also had to use certain things on the project for it to be eligible for the challenge. The requirements where: Anything for a Student, Teacher, School administrator, or educational personnel. We also had to use the following on the project: Use at least ONE designer paper,  paper clip, a pencil, eraser, or any school supply you can fit onto your projects!

I colored up the image quickly but I had trouble getting the card ready. I had so many different ideas in my head, but finally I found out what to make out of it, and I ended up giving it to my son's teacher who will not be his teacher next semester since he is getting a new for the next 3 years.

I had fun making this challenge and project and I am quite pleased with how it turned out. For you who are wondering about the letters on the top, yeah I know there are 3 letters extra and those letters are the ones we use in our Swedish alphabet. (Åå  Ää  Öö)

I will let you see my project/card and make your own opinion about it, comment what you think of it. Always nice to hear what other people think of what you make.
Anyways, until next time ............... craft on!!

Monday Greetings Challenge - Wet or Dry Embossing

Hello my crafty peeps,
~Happy Swedish Day~

It's yet another start of the week and this Monday here in Sweden is a Holiday. We are actually celebrating our National Day/Independence Day. I am a proud Swede so I am sharing this picture with you of our flag. It was not a holiday a few years ago, but now it is and it is so so welcomed I will tell you. Today the sun is shining from a clear blue sky and the temperature is around 60F so it's a bit chilly, but are loving the weather.

This weeks over at The Outlawz we have new challenges for everyday of the week.
Monday Greetings Challenge has a new challenge and the theme for this week is: Wet or Dry Embossing.

Our sponsor this week is the talented

ABOUT Andrea Norris, Owner of Sheep Ski Designs- Living in Leeds, Yorkshire in the UK, working full time as a Management Accountant and currently working on 4 design teams.
"I'm a dancer (Argentine Tango and Ceroc) and a competitive badminton player.  It's amazing that I've managed to squeeze drawing into my schedule as well as being an obsessive crafter and creator of cards.  I have no actual style as yet but do love the unusual and quirky.  I may be known for producing cards in soft pastel colours.
I love anything arty.  I've always drawn stuff, for as long as I can remember.   In my younger days I sold a few watercolour paintings.  I recently found mixed media which is a joy and love creating canvases with flowers.
I've had a battle with digital drawing for about a year and finally found some software I can gel with in January 2016.  Recently one of the challenge teams I worked on was short of a designer's images to create with so I drew some.  Then people kept asking me for my drawings.  So I thought what the heck let's open a shop and give something back to the crafting world, to the lovely ladies who have supported me on my journey.
Welcome to my world, we're only at the beginning and I have so much more to offer."
Andrea

So here is my weeks take on the theme and the sponsor. I used dry embossing and used the image called: Fuzzy image no 9. It was a little challenge to color him so it would look like fur, but I am pretty satisfied on how it all turned out and how it looked with my dry embossing in the background.
I thought this little bear was such a cutie that I couldn't resist him and decided to have him in this challenge and color him up. I do like to challenge myself in becoming a better colorist. I will leave you with my take on this weeks challenge and I hope to see your cards in the challenge too.

Anyways, until next time ...........................craft on.

,

Colors I have used using Promarkers:
Flower: Lipstick Red, Red
Stem: Forest Green, Bright Green
Bear: Chestnut, Walnut, Cocoa, Cinnamon, Caramel

Upcoming challenges are:
June 13 - Summer Beach Party
June 20 - New Technique (USE A NEW TECHNIQUE TO YOU)
June 27 - Anything Goes

We are still looking for some GDT so if you are interested please let me know.

Monday Greetings Challenge - Anything Goes

Hello there crafty peeps,

It's a new week and a new challenge over at the Monday Greetings Challenge at The Outlawz.

This weeks sponsors are:

I chose to use Crafty Sentiments - Lady Bird And Butterflies although it seems as the image is a bit different from the site and I am not sure why it's different. I went with a very CAS card. (CAS- Clean And Simple) as I have a hard time to put a lot of embellishments, and this card I wanted the image to be shown since it's such an adorable one.

For our second sponsor from Creative Hands I chose to use Astronaut Boy. Here I wanted to get a little space feeling so I found a piece of scrap paper with some stars on it that I thought was perfect. It is good to save some scrap paper, you never know when it can come to use again. I save most of my papers when I cut them in pieces just for the fact that you never know when it can come to use.

Until next time,.................................craft on!!!!!!
